Pittenweem Arts Festival

Sarah is so delighted to be taking part in this year's Pittenweem Arts Festival and feels it will be wonderfully celebratory after a two year absence of the festival due to Covid. This year sees her over the road from her usual venue at Priory House in the atmospheric medieval Gatehouse - Venue 6.

All are welcome to her preview on Friday 5th August from 6-8 pm or come for a day out to Pittenweem. Venue 6 will be open between 10 am and 5pm from Saturday 6th to Saturday 13th August. For the first time Sarah is excited to be sharing a venue with another accomplished painter and a Pittenweem favourite Allan Black.

There you feel free

I am so excited to announce my next solo exhibition THERE YOU FEEL FREE which is to be hosted by the stunning Doubtfire Gallery in the heart of the charming village of Stockbridge in central Edinburgh. The exhibition runs from 23 March to 23 April and there will be an informal MEET THE ARTIST event on Saturday 26 March from 2- 4pm. Please SAVE THE DATE and come and talk about art with me.

Like many people in the context of our turbulent and rapidly changing world - I feel it's key as an artist to experience stillness and to observe and record the sheer wonder and glimmers of hope and light. I know that this collection of thirty new paintings will give gallery visitors total freedom for their own interpretation and personal association.

I find wild Scotland breathtakingly beautiful and as an artist I work outside to make my mark - capturing and loving that landscape with brush and paint. The next step is in the studio reflecting and honing those sensations working in oil on canvas or wet on wet watercolour in a much more contemplative environment. I am very proud of this show and hope you will come see it during its run.

The exhibition is now live on Doubtfire Gallery's website ahead of the opening so do take a look.
