New works

Sarah has been working through the second lockdown by increasingly focusing her painting on dream-like landscapes that flit between reality and unreality. These artworks reflect the feeling of uncertainty of this time.
Her courageous enquiry explores the theme and motifs of Lost Worlds using restricted palettes and evocative colour.

She continues to draw and paint en plein air in all weathers, visually recording gardens and hidden places: the Botanics, Malleny House, Duddingston and Cammo in Edinburgh. This gathering of sketchbook information is constantly transformed into refined paintings and prints at her Beaverhall Studio in Edinburgh.

Sarah is optimistic that her exhibitions will happen in 2021 and will keep you posted.

The @FabrianoinAcquarello2020 International Watercolour Exhibition and Convention

Sarah is delighted to be selected to represent Scotland in the international watercolour exhibition and convention @FabrianoinAcquarello2020 starting 25-31 May 2020. Due to Covid19, the watercolour demonstrations and exchanges will happen online and an exhibition celebrating the artists' work from over 70 countries will happen in Fabriano next year.
